
Attending the plaque unveiling ceremony were representatives from the Ministry of Interior; current and former leaders of Yen Bai province; Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha; representatives from Long Bien district; and the family of the renowned figure Nguyen Gia Bong.

On this occasion, the district has 5 roads and streets named after geographical locations, including: Cu Khoi Street and Hoa Dong Street in Cu Khoi Ward; Dong Thanh Street and Quan Tinh Street in Giang Bien Ward; Vo Trung Street in Phuc Loi Ward; and one road named after the famous figure Nguyen Gia Bong in Ngoc Thuy Ward, the section from the intersection with Ly Son Street at house number 21 (residential area 32 Ngoc Thuy) to the intersection with Ngoc Thuy Street at the Ngoc Thuy Ward People's Committee headquarters.

The renowned figure Nguyen Gia Bong, born in 1921 and passed away in 1990, hailed from Gia Thuy, Gia Lam (now Gia Thuy ward, Long Bien district, Hanoi ). Throughout his revolutionary career, he was entrusted with many important responsibilities by the Party and State: Standing Member of the Phu Tho Provincial Committee of the Viet Minh; Deputy Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee and concurrently Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Committee of the Viet Minh; Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee; Standing Member of the Viet Bac Inter-regional Administrative Committee; Standing Member of the Viet Bac Regional Party Committee and Administrative Committee; Deputy Minister of Food and Foodstuffs (from February 1971 to November 1984)...

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang, Vice Chairman of the Long Bien District People's Committee, this is also one of the very meaningful activities of Long Bien District, practically celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2024). In the coming time, the district will continue to implement many solutions to maintain and beautify streets and roads to ensure they are "bright, green, clean, and beautiful," and to have more streets and roads recognized as "civilized urban streets." At the same time, it will organize propaganda to all levels of the people about the significance of streets named after geographical locations to preserve traditional cultural values, especially streets named after prominent figures who are veteran revolutionary comrades.
Attending the street naming ceremony, the family of the renowned figure Nguyen Gia Bong also donated 10 gift packages worth 20 million VND to disadvantaged families in Ngoc Thuy ward.
