Nature magazine has just announced a list of 10 outstanding scientists in 2025. Among them, Liang Wenfeng, the man behind the AI ​​model DeepSeek, was named with the description of a “technology disruptor”. Nature said the recognition for him comes from the transformative impact of the DeepSeek model on the artificial intelligence industry over the past year.

According to the journal, DeepSeek made its mark with its performance optimization strategy, which significantly reduced the cost of running AI models and raised China's position in this field. Nature emphasized that DeepSeek challenged the long-standing assumption of the AI ​​industry that high performance does not necessarily require huge amounts of data or expensive server infrastructure.

Recently, DeepSeek announced the open source model V3.2. According to the official Weibo account, it achieved the highest performance among open source models in Agent-related reviews, a rapidly growing trend in the AI ​​field.

Liang Wenfeng was born in 1985 in Wuchuan (Zhanjiang, Guangdong). At the age of 17, he entered Zhejiang University, majoring in Electronic Information Engineering.
