The Dai Hung historical and cultural relic site, located on the slopes of Mong Ga mountain (Nam Hong Linh ward, Ha Tinh province), was built during the Tran dynasty (14th century). It is a place of worship for the ancestor Kinh Duong Vuong and the Hung kings.

The Dai Hung historical and cultural relic site, located in residential area 7, Dau Lieu (Nam Hong Linh ward, Ha Tinh province), was built during the Tran Dynasty (14th century). Situated on Mong Ga peak, one of the 99 peaks of Hong Linh mountain, the Dai Hung historical and cultural relic site comprises two main structures: Dai Hung Pagoda and the temple dedicated to King Kinh Duong Vuong and the Hung Kings. Dai Hung Pagoda was classified as a provincial-level historical site in 2008.

According to historical documents and folklore, in the early days, King Kinh Duong Vuong chose the Hong Linh region as the location for his capital, establishing the Xich Quy (meaning Red Star) kingdom – the first state of the Vietnamese people. Later, he passed the throne to Sung Lam (also known as Lac Long Quan). Lac Long Quan then moved the capital to Phu Tho and fathered the Hung Kings. Based on the above documents and legends, the local people of the past erected temples to commemorate the contributions of King Kinh Duong Vuong and the Hung Kings.

Currently, the historical site features six altars, four of which house six bronze statues representing the hierarchy from the founding ancestor Kinh Duong Vuong - Than Long, Lac Long Quan - Au Co to the Hung Kings. At the highest position are the altars dedicated to the founding ancestor Kinh Duong Vuong and the Queen Mother Than Long, with two majestic statues.

On the outermost side is the altar dedicated to the Hung Kings, arranged with four parallel altars, two of which contain statues representing the 18 generations of Hung Kings who ruled the country.

Along with the temple dedicated to King Kinh Duong Vuong and the Hung Kings is Dai Hung Pagoda. The pagoda is located halfway up the mountain, amidst a lush green pine forest.

Dai Hung Pagoda is one of the four famous ancient pagodas of the former Hong Linh region (including Thien Tuong, Long Dam, Dai Hung, and Cuc Lac), built around the 14th century. According to the elders, it is one of the most grandly constructed pagodas with many structures and features.

Besides its traditional architectural style, Dai Hung Pagoda also preserves several precious artifacts. Among them is an ancient bronze bell inscribed with the name "Dai Hung Temple Bell," measuring 1 meter in height and weighing 200 kg, dating back over 200 years.

Over the years, Dai Hung Pagoda has been renovated and rebuilt by the authorities, but it still retains its ancient charm.

Associated with the Dai Hung Historical and Cultural Relic Site is the Hung King Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony, held annually on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month. This ceremony has been recognized as a provincial-level festival by the Provincial People's Committee since 2022.

According to the leaders of Nam Hong Linh ward, every year the Dai Hung historical and cultural relic site welcomes tens of thousands of visitors from within and outside the province who come to visit and offer incense to commemorate the founding kings of the nation.
