Dong Tien is accelerating the construction progress of its projects.

In 2026, Dong Tien ward will implement 48 projects, including 38 ongoing projects and the rest being newly started projects. To ensure that the projects are completed and put into use according to the set plan, in addition to efforts to quickly secure cleared land, Dong Tien ward also regularly inspects and urges the construction units to resolve difficulties and obstacles.

Over 1.2km out of 1.6km of the "Upgrading and renovating the road from the secondary school to the Thong Nhat road intersection, Dong Linh ward" project has been paved with asphalt.

The North-South high-speed railway project passes through six neighborhoods in Dong Tien ward, spanning over 3km. Four of these neighborhoods – Dong, Son, Vinh Ngoc, and Loi – are affected, with approximately 400 households needing to relocate to resettlement areas. To facilitate land clearance, Dong Tien ward has allocated land for three resettlement areas totaling 14.25 hectares, with a total cost of 281.42 billion VND. Of this, 56.57 billion VND is for land clearance, with the remainder for infrastructure investment. Currently, the ward is urgently completing the land clearance process for the three resettlement areas to proceed with compensation payments to 309 households whose agricultural land needs to be acquired for the resettlement area construction in June. The ward aims to complete the land clearance and infrastructure development for all three resettlement areas by September 30, 2026.

Currently, the project "Upgrading and renovating the road from the secondary school to the Thong Nhat road intersection, Dong Linh ward" (now merged into Dong Tien ward), with a length of over 1.6km and a total investment of over 13.2 billion VND, is being accelerated by the construction unit. Mr. Duong Quoc Chinh, Director of Quang Vinh Construction and Materials Production Co., Ltd. - the contractor for this road project - said: “Immediately after the project commenced (December 2025), taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, the company mobilized vehicles and personnel to focus on construction. To date, the project has completed the asphalt paving for more than 1.2/1.6 km. For the remaining 400m passing through the Nguyen Hanh residential area, the company has completed the drainage system on both sides of the road and is currently restoring the clean water supply, relocating streetlights and household electricity... The estimated overall volume of work completed along the entire route is approximately 85%. The company is striving to complete and hand over the project by June 30, 2026, as per the contract signed with the investor.”

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, the official in charge of monitoring investment projects in the ward, said: "To ensure the progress and quality of the projects, the Ward People's Committee regularly inspects, urges, and resolves difficulties and obstacles for the construction units. To date, 6 projects have achieved over 80% completion. In general, the projects being implemented in the ward are basically ensuring the progress and quality of the construction as required by the ward."

However, due to the lack of dedicated project management and land clearance personnel, the ward has encountered many difficulties and obstacles during the implementation of projects, leading to delays in achieving the ward's requirements. Furthermore, the high and scarce prices of materials such as stone, sand, soil, and fuel have affected the construction progress of the contractors. Therefore, to ensure progress, in addition to regularly inspecting and urging construction units to accelerate progress and improve the quality of work, the Ward People's Committee will hold weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings to address difficulties and obstacles for the construction units. To ensure a clean construction site for the contractors, in addition to continuing to promote awareness through the ward's radio system and neighborhood meetings, the local authorities will mobilize the entire political system to participate in the campaign to encourage people whose land is affected by the project to strictly comply with regulations when the State decides to reclaim land...
