Growing up, Ms. Hau became a pharmacist and opened a small drug store near her home. She thought that life would pass by peacefully, but deep down, her concern for her hometown's agricultural products was always present. "If only I could do something to help people suffer less" - that thought gradually grew, becoming the motivation for her to boldly discuss with her husband about starting a business. With his support, she went to learn how to do it in some regions. At first, the experiment failed, but she patiently tried again, gradually perfecting the formula, process, packaging... Gradually, her safe agricultural product processing facility was born.
Then, from the potatoes, cassava tubers... through her hands and mind, that woman "magically" created dozens of products: Coconut cassava cake, cheese cassava cake, cassava cake with wood ear mushroom meat filling, green bean coconut filling, sweet soup ingredients powder... All are quality tested, do not use preservatives, deep frozen and transported everywhere.
When the OCOP Program spread to Ba Vi district (old), Ms. Hau immediately brought her products to participate. Three products: Sweet potato cocoons, crispy fried corn, and coconut cassava cake - which she researched and created herself from local ingredients - achieved 3-star OCOP certification. Thanks to that, her brand was widely recognized and consumption output increased sharply.
Not stopping there, the project "No du cu cassava Ba Vi" by Ms. Pham Thi Tu Hau was recognized by the Hanoi Women's Union as a Creative Product of 2023. The cheese cassava cake has surpassed the bamboo fences of the village, is present in the city and even in some "difficult" markets, with a stable number of orders...
With her quick wit, since she was a business owner, she has put her products on e-commerce platforms, social networks, and expanded the market. Realizing the trend of collective economy , more than a year ago, she transferred to Yen Anh Agricultural Production and Processing Cooperative, which currently has 7 members. The cooperative creates jobs for dozens of workers with a stable income of 5 - 7 million VND/person/month, each month consuming dozens of tons of products from corn, potatoes, cassava...
“Going far away to return” - Ms. Hau said brightly. She returned to cherish the cassava and sweet potatoes of her homeland; to give Ba Vi agricultural products the journey to bring the fragrance of her homeland to everywhere.
