Spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing within the community.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always emphasized the role of mass mobilization work and the strength of national unity. Imbued with this ideology, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ung Hoa commune has continuously innovated its content and methods of operation, focusing strongly on the grassroots level and placing the people at the center of all emulation movements.
The most noticeable trend locally is that social welfare activities are becoming increasingly in-depth, practical, and have a significant impact on the community.
With the motto "leaving no one behind," the Fatherland Front of the commune has actively mobilized social resources to care for near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances.
Most notably since the beginning of the year, the commune has supported the construction and repair of 12 solidarity houses with a total budget of 550 million VND. Among them, the case of Ms. Phung Thi Muoi, a 55-year-old Party member in Quan Tu village, who received support to build a new house, has deeply moved the local people. Due to her advanced age, poor health, and inability to work, and having lived in a dilapidated house for many years, Ms. Muoi now has a spacious and stable place to live.

In addition, during the Lunar New Year of 2026, the Fatherland Front of Ung Hoa commune also mobilized 950 million VND to give 1,150 gifts to households in difficult circumstances.
Notably, in mid-May 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune continued to provide financial support for education to two disadvantaged students studying at Ung Hoa B High School. Each student received 9 million VND for the entire 2025-2026 school year.
According to Ms. Chu Thi Bich, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ung Hoa commune, supporting poor students not only helps them alleviate immediate difficulties but also instills confidence and motivation in them to continue striving in life.

Along with taking care of people's lives, the Fatherland Front of the commune also actively mobilized social resources, raising over 94 million VND to purchase 340 yellow-flowered maple trees to plant along the approximately 3km long Can Tho - Xuan Quang road, creating a beautiful environment...
Mr. Le Thanh Hai, from Dung Cam village, said that what people appreciate is that the activities of the Fatherland Front of the commune are practical, close to the people, and transparent.
"From caring for disadvantaged households to mobilizing efforts to improve the environmental landscape, Fatherland Front officials go directly to the grassroots, ask people what they need, and then implement projects. Because of this, people trust them and are willing to support them," Mr. Hai said.
Effective public relations work fosters consensus in land clearance.
While social welfare work helps strengthen public trust, skillful public relations activities in land clearance clearly demonstrate the bridging role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front between the government and the people.
Specifically, Ung Hoa commune has the Southern arterial road project of the former Ha Tay province (Cienco 5) running through it. This is a key project with great significance for the development of transportation infrastructure and the promotion of socio -economic development in the area. However, the initial land acquisition and site clearance process faced many difficulties due to concerns and anxieties among the local people regarding their rights.

Faced with this reality, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, in coordination with the local Party committee and government, implemented many flexible mass mobilization solutions. Instead of general propaganda, Front officials chose to meet with each household to exchange ideas and listen to their thoughts and aspirations.
During the meetings, residents were given detailed explanations about the project's significance, compensation policies, support, and resettlement regulations. Suggestions and questions were also promptly received and forwarded to relevant authorities for consideration and resolution. As a result, 18 households in Cao Minh and Xuan Dai villages whose land is located along the road have agreed to the land acquisition plan and handed over the land for the project's implementation.
Ms. Dang Thi Tuoi, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ung Hoa commune, believes that to effectively carry out mass mobilization work, Fatherland Front officials must be truly close to the grassroots, have a firm grasp of the people's situation, and promptly reflect any issues arising from practical experience.
According to Ms. Tuoi, in the coming time, the Fatherland Front of the commune will continue to strengthen the activities of the Front's working committees in residential areas, promote patriotic emulation movements, and replicate effective models.
Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ung Hoa commune, Dang Viet Dong, also assessed that the achievements in the past period show the important role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in gathering the great national unity. Many movements and campaigns have created a strong ripple effect, contributing to maintaining social stability and promoting local socio-economic development.
The reality in Ung Hoa commune shows that the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is not only limited to gathering the masses but also serves as a "soft bridge" to help resolve many issues arising at the grassroots level. When people are listened to, have their concerns shared, and see the effectiveness of policies and movements, social consensus will be strengthened.
Through these concrete and practical actions, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ung Hoa commune is gradually affirming its role as a strong bridge between the Party, the government, and the people; contributing to building a more united, civilized, and sustainably developed locality.
