The festival was attended by nearly 600 artisans from various localities.

Within the framework of the first "Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of Mountain Ethnic Groups," on the afternoon of May 30th, an exhibition and demonstration of traditional crafts was held at the Ethnic Culture Center of A Luoi 2 commune, attracting many tourists and local people to experience them.

Here, localities participated in organizing exhibition spaces, introducing a series of unique traditional handicrafts and characteristic OCOP products of ethnic minority communities. In particular, visitors could witness firsthand artisans demonstrating the processes of traditional crafts such as Zèng weaving, basket weaving, and the crafting of traditional musical instruments.

In addition, each participating unit will bring between 20 and 40 documentary photographs to the exhibition. These are valuable documentary images recording outstanding achievements in the local economy , culture, and society, with a focus on depicting the rich cultural life and beauty of the ethnic minorities in the mountainous regions.

The event is not only a meaningful platform for exchange between ethnic communities, but also a catalyst for tourism , helping to bring traditional products and mountain culture of the city closer to domestic and international tourists.

Artisan Ho Van Oi, from Par Lieng 2 village, A Luoi 1 commune, said that tools like the "Caria" and "A Choi" are agricultural implements that have been used in farming since ancient times, closely associated with the lives of mountain farmers. During this festival, showcasing weaving techniques to tourists is also an opportunity for artisans like us to learn, hone our skills, and promote traditional handicrafts.

The "Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival of Mountain Ethnic Groups" took place from May 29-31 in A Luoi 1, A Luoi 2 and A Luoi 3 communes, with the participation of nearly 600 artisans, amateur artists, actors and athletes from localities with ethnic minority communities in the city.

The festival also serves as an opportunity to showcase traditional handicrafts, OCOP products, and unique cuisine of ethnic minority communities; and to promote ecotourism, community tourism, and experiential tourism destinations in the western mountainous region of Hue. This contributes to preserving traditional crafts, enhancing the value of local products, and promoting sustainable tourism development linked to cultural preservation.
