The festival attracted nearly 600 artisans, amateur artists, actors, and athletes from 11 communes and wards with ethnic minority populations in the city. Taking place from May 29th to 31st in A Luoi 1, A Luoi 2, and A Luoi 3 communes, the festival was an opportunity to honor, preserve, and promote the unique traditional cultural values of the ethnic minorities in the mountainous region, while also contributing to promoting the image of Hue's highlands to domestic and international tourists.
The festival atmosphere was vibrant with many unique cultural, sports , and tourism activities. The highlight was the Folk Arts Festival featuring folk songs, folk dances, folk music, gong performances, traditional instrument ensembles, and ethnic costume displays. The artistic programs focused on praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, the homeland, and the development achievements of Hue city.
Within the framework of the festival, there will also be an exhibition space showcasing traditional crafts and characteristic OCOP products of ethnic minorities at the Square and the Ethnic Culture Center of A Luoi 2 commune. Artisans will directly demonstrate traditional crafts, introduce handicraft products and unique cultural features of the locality. In addition, there will be many attractive activities such as a highland cuisine competition, a market showcasing local specialties, traditional sports including crossbow shooting, stick pushing, tug-of-war, volleyball, football, and activities recreating traditional festivals of ethnic minorities.

At the Ethnic Culture Village in A Lưới 3 commune, visitors can also experience the theatrical performance of the Ar Pục Festival - Unity, along with folk tales and legends associated with the cultural life of the Pa Cô and Tà Ôi people.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the City's Department of Culture and Sports, the festival is not only a meaningful cultural and spiritual playground for the people of the mountainous ethnic groups, but also contributes to promoting the image of Hue's highlands, stimulating community tourism, preserving traditional cultural values, and creating momentum for sustainable socio-economic development.
With its rich and distinctive activities, the first Hue City Mountain Ethnic Groups' Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival created a unique cultural exchange space, contributing to strengthening the unity of ethnic groups, while also opening up opportunities for community tourism development associated with the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values of the highlands of Hue City.
