Unlike many ceremonial gatherings, the program offered delegates the opportunity to experience meaningful activities such as planting commemorative trees, visiting the cultural and historical ecosystem within the Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park at the Memorial Garden, Tan Trao Banyan Tree Square, the Dien Bien Phu battlefield model under the canopy of the 37-trunk banyan tree, and the General Vo Nguyen Giap Memorial House...

Lieutenant General Pham Tuan, Hero of the People's Armed Forces and former Director of the General Department of Defense Industry, one of the guests participating in the exchange, recounted many "life-or-death" memories from his years as a fighter pilot in the Vietnam People's Air Force fighting against American aircraft. He particularly recalled his encounters with and encouragement from General Vo Nguyen Giap, urging him to train hard and achieve many victories like the pilots before him.

Lieutenant General Pham Tuan shared: “Many of my comrades, soldiers who directly fought against the enemy on various fronts, are also attending today's event. Due to the unique nature of the air force, we are more prominent, but their achievements are numerous, they just haven't been widely known. We cherish them and, through our practical stories, we will together ignite the flame of tradition for today's young generation.”

Meanwhile, Major General Ho Sy Hau, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association, shared a story about his childhood encounter with President Ho Chi Minh in the Viet Bac war zone. As a young boy, Ho Sy Hau, who followed his father to the resistance, was always proud and felt fortunate to have spent time close to the President, listening to his advice and guidance. This motivated him to later join the military, fight in the Truong Son oil pipeline force, and hold many other positions in the Army, always striving to overcome difficulties and fulfill his duties.

The delegates captured memorable moments...

Speaking at the event, Mr. Pham Hong Diep, Chairman of the Board and General Director of Shinec Joint Stock Company, respectfully thanked the generals and officers who have accompanied the unit. Having been a soldier who transitioned into business , he proudly recounted the touching memory of receiving a letter of encouragement from General Vo Nguyen Giap after watching a television program about him and his ongoing projects nearly 20 years ago. Later, in January 2008, he had the honor of meeting the General for the first time. To this day, the General's words of encouragement and motivation remain a source of inspiration and drive, urging him to further improve his ideas and projects.

As one of the young delegates attending the program, Do Anh Nguyen, born in 2001 and one of the youngest Party members of the Shinec Joint Stock Company branch, couldn't hide her emotion upon meeting her "idols" in real life. She said: "Our generation grew up with the internet and social media, so meeting, talking, and interacting directly with generals and heroes of the Army like this is very rare. The stories that the veterans shared, based on real people and real events, helped us to better understand and respect the soldiers of Uncle Ho's Army. They are the ones who made history, and we, as the next generation, have a responsibility to our homeland and country."
