My friend told me: This is a gift from the collective of soldiers who received salary increases and promotions during the year, given to the unit. Accordingly, every year, based on the actual situation, the brigade will distribute it to units in need, contributing to building a green, clean, and beautiful environment.

Through discussions, we learned that in the past, on occasions of salary increases or promotions, soldiers would organize celebratory parties, inviting the entire group to share in the joy. This had become a "custom." After studying the situation, the Party Committee and the brigade's command realized that this "custom" had more negative than positive consequences and needed to be changed. Many soldiers, upon receiving salary increases or promotions, organized too many celebratory parties, causing unnecessary expense. These parties often involved excessive drinking, affecting not only the health, quality, and progress of work, and the image of officers and commanders before the troops, but also posing many potential risks to safety and unity. Therefore, the Party Committee and the brigade's command have propagated and encouraged all officers and commanders at all levels to change the way they organize collective celebratory parties to giving gifts of stone tables and chairs. This contributes to improving the unit's environment and serves as a gift to support the giver and the entire group in their studies and work.

Accordingly, each time the military personnel collectively donate stone tables and chairs, the Party Committee and the brigade's command organize a gift-giving and receiving ceremony at the units equipped with the stone tables and chairs. The program is organized systematically and thoughtfully, including: reading the financial report; representatives of the military personnel who received salary increases and promotions expressing their thoughts, aspirations, and gratitude to their comrades for their assistance in completing their tasks; representatives of the receiving units expressing their gratitude and promising to maintain and preserve the items; representatives of the brigade's command giving words of encouragement and assigning tasks; handing over the stone tables and chairs to the receiving units for management and use; and taking commemorative photos to display in the brigade's and the receiving units' traditional house, Ho Chi Minh room.

Sharing the joy of receiving salary increases and promotions with the unit's soldiers is a meaningful act, now being widely promoted by the brigade in the form of a set of stone tables and chairs symbolizing "accompanying and sharing difficulties." According to my friend, in addition to the stone tables and chairs, the brigade's Party Committee and command are continuing to research expanding the form of gifts through projects and tasks (respectfully marked with nameplates like on the stone tables and chairs) such as vegetable gardens, flower gardens, water tanks, etc., to support units that are still facing difficulties and shortages. Each project will be a shining example of camaraderie and sharing, a cultural highlight of affection and solidarity within the unit; it is one of the measures to promote motivation and solidarity throughout the unit. Even more importantly, officers who have been transferred to other units will feel even more connected to the unit whenever they visit and work there, knowing that they are contributing daily and hourly to building a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary and outstanding" brigade through the projects and tasks they have donated.
