Attending the event were Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Tri Thanh, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, and representatives from relevant departments and agencies.
According to Buddhist tradition and legend, after being born in Lumbini Garden, Siddhartha Gautama took seven steps, each step supported by a pure lotus flower. Over the centuries, this image has become a sacred symbol of Buddhist faith: the seven steps are not only the steps of an enlightened being appearing in the world, but also a guide to the path and method for people to transform suffering, rise above, and move towards enlightenment and liberation.
During this year's Buddha's Birthday celebration, the series of activities organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Da Nang City to offer prayers and sacrifices were held at 18 locations across the city, encompassing various practical aspects such as lighting seven lotus flowers, decorating for the Buddha's birthday, setting up festive spaces, carrying out social welfare activities to care for those in difficult circumstances, and launching environmental cleanup campaigns. All these activities shared a common aspiration: to offer the Buddha a flower of gratitude, compassion, wisdom, and responsibility towards the community.

On this occasion, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of the city donated 80 million VND to support the construction of a solidarity house for the people of An Hai ward.
