The Quang Ngai Provincial Rural Development Sub-Department - the Standing Agency of the Quang Ngai Provincial OCOP Council Advisory Group - recently held a meeting to appraise dossiers and evaluate potential OCOP 3-5 star products for the second phase of 2025.
The 33 products assessed in this round belong to the food and beverage group from 13 entities in 10 communes, wards, and special zones. The product structure includes: 5 products being upgraded from 3 stars to 4 stars, 1 product whose assessment has expired and is being re-evaluated, and 27 products undergoing initial assessment.

According to the advisory team's assessment, the products evaluated in the second round of 2025 were diverse in design and type, and ensured quality and food safety and hygiene standards. However, some entities still did not focus on investing in packaging, their product documentation was incomplete, and they did not fully exploit the strengths of their product stories...
Members of the advisory board provide comments and feedback on the product, as well as the production process, food safety certificates, brand, quality, and environmental aspects.

Based on the feedback and evaluation from the advisory team, the entity will finalize the product dossier and process to ensure it is complete and compliant with regulations before the provincial OCOP product evaluation and ranking council conducts the evaluation and ranking.
After implementation, the OCOP program in Quang Ngai has created a positive effect, spreading strongly throughout the community, with 643 products, including 2 national-level 5-star products. OCOP products ensure quality and food safety, gradually affirming the position and value of the "OCOP star" brand.
