Lao Cai authorizes the handling of administrative procedures in the agricultural sector.

The Chairman of Lao Cai province has authorized the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Chairmen of the People's Committees at the commune level to handle certain procedures in the agricultural sector.

The People's Committee of Lao Cai province has just issued Decision No. 2218/QD-UBND, dated December 4, 2025, authorizing the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai and the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes to carry out a number of administrative procedures in the fields of agriculture and environment according to Government Decree No. 136/2025/ND-CP.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province has authorized the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai to handle 14 administrative procedures in the fields of: plant protection; quality management of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products; forestry and forest inspection. At the same time, the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level is authorized to handle 01 administrative procedure related to quality management of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products in the locality.

The authorization period is valid until February 28, 2027, unless otherwise stipulated by law. Authorized units are responsible for preparing the necessary conditions for implementation, are accountable to the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and the law; and must widely publicize the information so that organizations and individuals are aware and can contact them for resolution. Quarterly reports on the results of task implementation are required.
