
In karate, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Nguyen Ngoc Tram, and Hoang Thi Thu Uyen coordinated seamlessly to deliver an impressive performance, defeating host nation Thailand at the 33rd SEA Games to convincingly win the gold medal in the women's kata event.
In the 54 kg taekwondo final, athlete Nguyen Hong Trong won 2-1 against Tumakaka (Indonesia) to bring home another gold medal for Vietnamese taekwondo at the 33rd SEA Games.
Gymnastics secured two consecutive gold medals thanks to Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien in the pommel horse event. The Vietnamese representative achieved a score of 14.367, thus defending her gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games.

Less than an hour later, Nguyen Van Khanh Phong brilliantly won the gold medal in the men's Apparatus - Rings event for Vietnamese gymnastics.
Unfortunately, Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu later won a silver medal in gymnastics in the vault event. Initially, Quynh Nhu was leading and was announced as the gold medalist. However, the Philippines team immediately protested. After review, the referees accepted the decision and adjusted the score, awarding the gold medal to the Philippines athlete and the silver medal to Quynh Nhu.
Meanwhile, athlete Dang Dinh Tung delivered an outstanding performance in the final of the Ne-waza event in the men's 69kg jujitsu category at the 33rd SEA Games.

Athletics also contributed two gold medals in the triple jump event, with Ho Trong Manh Hung brilliantly winning the gold medal with the best time after six jumps.
Subsequently, athlete Bui Thi Ngan brought home the second gold medal in athletics for the Vietnamese sports delegation in the women's 1,500m race, with a time of 4 minutes 27 seconds 35.
Judo contributes a gold medal to Vietnamese sports. The judo duo Tran Quoc Cuong and Phan Minh Hanh brilliantly defeated their Thai opponents in the final of the Nage no Kata (judo) event.

The highlight of the day focused on the finals of the Vietnamese swimming team. As expected, "Frog Prince" Pham Thanh Bao won the gold medal in the men's 100m breaststroke event.
Shortly afterwards, swimmers Tran Hung Nguyen, Nguyen Huy Hoang, Nguyen Viet Tuong, and Tran Van Nguyen Quoc continued to win the gold medal in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay with a time of 7 minutes 18 seconds 67.
Notably, MMA (mixed martial arts) made its debut at the SEA Games, with Vietnamese athletes winning two gold medals: Quang Van Minh (traditional MMA, men's 65kg category) and Tran Ngoc Luong (MMA, men's under 60kg category). However, since MMA was only added to the 33rd SEA Games, the achievements recorded will not be counted towards the overall medal standings.
