
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and President of the Hanoi Women's Union, Le Kim Anh, stated that 2025, with many major holidays and the entire political system having to streamline its apparatus and implement a two-tiered local government model, along with the new model of political and social organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front, presents numerous challenges for the Hanoi Women's Union.

In 2025, the Women's Union at all levels will complete 815 projects, tasks, and activities for women and children, participating in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, practically celebrating the Party Congress, the Women's Congress at all levels, and major holidays.
The Women's Union at all levels has mobilized resources to support the construction and renovation of 98 shelters for disadvantaged women (achieving 163% of the plan) in the city and provinces, worth 4.1 billion VND; and inaugurated 46 mural painting projects. Districts/counties (formerly) and local branches organized visits and presented 30,241 gifts with a total cost of nearly 20 billion VND to members and women in difficult circumstances.
In addition, 100% of the facilities continued to implement the "Accompanying Children" and "Godmother" programs, mobilizing officials, members, and women, connecting businesses and philanthropists to sponsor 1,123 out of 2,990 orphaned children in difficult circumstances in the area with a total support fund of 2.15 billion VND. The facilities have implemented many creative approaches and models to care for women and children, such as: the "Saving money with plastic piggy banks to raise funds for Godmothers" model, the "Godmother's booth"; and the "Turning trash into money - Collecting scrap materials to raise funds for charity" to give gifts to orphaned children in the city...

At the conference, the Executive Committee of the City Women's Union approved 4 draft reports; 5 draft programs and plans; and 4 draft regulations and rules. Simultaneously, the conference discussed and provided feedback on the working regulations of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Executive Board of the 17th term; regulations on emulation and commendation, management of the union's fund, and management of entrusted fees, etc.
The Executive Committee of the Association also approved the content of the campaign to encourage female cadres and members in the city to continue implementing the program of compassion and solidarity during the 2025-2030 term.

In 2026, with the theme: "Hanoi women unite, innovate, and effectively implement the Resolutions of the Party Congress, the Fatherland Front Congress, and the Women's Congress at all levels," the Women's Union at all levels has set a goal for each local branch to have at least two activities promoting and educating about traditions, and building the image of Hanoi women as "Loyal - Creative - Capable - Elegant."
In addition, each commune and ward will have at least one project/task participating in environmental protection and building a Bright, Green, Clean, and Beautiful Capital City; the entire city will support the establishment of at least 3 cooperatives with women participating in management, including one model applying science, technology, digital transformation/green transformation; each Women's Union branch will register to help at least 10 near-poor (or disadvantaged) women's households escape poverty and improve their living standards…
