The Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to discuss ways to improve the effectiveness of cultural and sports facilities in the province.

On the afternoon of December 11th, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to hear a report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the draft Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on continuing the comprehensive development and improving the effectiveness of cultural and sports facilities in Hung Yen province during the 2025-2030 period. Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting.

According to the draft, the Resolution aims to build and comprehensively improve the system of cultural and sports institutions in the province, ensuring the conditions for hosting and organizing national and international-scale cultural and sports activities, effectively serving political tasks, cultural, artistic, physical education, sports, and entertainment activities, meeting the needs of spiritual and cultural life, improving the physical fitness and stature of the people; and at the same time creating conditions to promote and publicize the unique cultural values ​​of the province, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks in the new period, and the goals of the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Nghiem directed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to incorporate the opinions of the delegates, review and evaluate, and promptly finalize the draft Resolution on continuing the comprehensive development and improving the effectiveness of cultural and sports facilities in Hung Yen province for the period 2025-2030, and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and reporting to the Provincial Party Standing Committee. Specifically, the resolution should clarify the contents of the facilities; update and adjust the contents that need to be addressed after the merger of the two provinces to suit the practical situation; clearly define the objectives and roles of Party committees and authorities at all levels in implementing the facilities; and clearly issue mechanisms, policies, and management procedures after the resolution is promulgated.
