With the task of winning to secure a place in the semi-finals, the Vietnamese women's team started the match with an attacking style of play and created a completely dominant game against Myanmar. After a few good opportunities were missed, the Vietnamese women's team quickly scored to take the lead.

From a well-coordinated attacking move, Tran Thi Duyen delivered an accurate cross from the right wing, allowing Ngan Thi Van Su to leap high and head the ball into the net, giving Vietnam a 1-0 lead against Myanmar in the 9th minute.

Then, Vietnam's joy was quickly doubled in the 15th minute. Taking advantage of a mistake by the opposing defense, Hoang Thi Loan rushed in and shot the ball, which hit the crossbar and bounced out. Bich Thuy was in the right place at the right time to head the ball into the net, scoring the second goal and increasing the score to 2-0.

After conceding two goals, Myanmar pushed forward to find an equalizer. However, the Vietnamese players played very solidly, completely blocking all of their attacking moves. Moreover, Vietnam's attacks were always very dangerous and posed a high risk to the opponent's goal.

In the 41st minute, Hai Yen had a golden opportunity from less than 4 meters away, but the Vietnamese women's team captain's close-range shot went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, from a long pass from a teammate, Ngoc Minh Chuyen broke free and faced the Myanmar goalkeeper one-on-one, but her shot narrowly missed the target.

The 2-0 score remained unchanged until the end of the match, and the Vietnamese women's team secured their place in the semi-finals as the top team in Group B.
