Today's competition will see Vietnam's athletics team compete in several important events, aiming for further medals. The Vietnamese athletics team will feature Huynh Thi My Tien and Bui Thi Nguyen (women's 100m hurdles), Le Ngoc Phuc and Ta Ngoc Tuong (men's 400m), and Hoang Thi Minh Hanh and Nguyen Thi Ngoc (women's 400m). These are the events where Vietnam is expected to have the highest chance of winning medals. Morning qualifying rounds will begin at 9:50 AM, followed by finals starting at 4:40 PM. Additionally, Vietnam will have Vu Duc Anh competing in the men's high jump and Kim Thi Huyen in the women's shot put.
Vietnamese swimmers will compete in several events with the chance to win more gold medals. Among them, Tran Hung Nguyen and Nguyen Quang Thuan will compete in the men's 400m individual medley. This is a crucial event with the best chance of achieving a positive result for Vietnamese sports. Women's 100m swimmers Pham Thi Van and Nguyen Thuy Hien, men's 1500m swimmers Nguyen Huy Hoang and Mai Tran Tuan Anh, and women's 400m swimmers Nguyen Kha Nhi and Vo Thi My Tien also have a chance to win medals. Qualifying rounds for all events will take place from 9:00 AM, followed by the finals at 6:00 PM.
The Vietnamese Gymnastics team will compete in the finals of their last individual events on December 12th. Tran Doan Quynh Nam will compete in the women's vault, while Dinh Phuong Thanh will compete in the men's horizontal bar and uneven bars. These are events that offer a chance to win more gold medals for the Vietnamese sports delegation. The finals begin at 2:30 PM.
Judo will also enter its important sparring events. The following judokas will compete for medals: Nguyen Hoang Thanh (55kg men), Nguyen Hai Ba (73kg men), Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy (57kg women), and Le Huynh Tuong Vy (70kg women). The events will begin at 1 PM.
Vietnamese karate is hoping to win more gold medals today. Kumite (sparring) competitors will be entering the competition. Today, we have Chu Van Duc (55kg men), Nguyen Thi Thu (50kg women), Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly (55kg women), and Khuat Hai Nam (67kg men) competing. The qualifying rounds will be held at 9 am, and the finals will take place in the afternoon.
The Vietnamese taekwondo team will compete in additional sparring events with the participation of Truong Thi Kim Tuyen (women's 49kg), Bac Thi Khiem (women's 67kg), Dinh Cong Khoa (women's 58kg), and Pham Minh Bao Kha (men's 74kg). These are key athletes with the potential to win gold medals for the Vietnamese sports delegation.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese petanque team is hoping to win more gold medals in the 3-person and men's and women's doubles events.
During the day, the Vietnamese sports delegation also competed in badminton, 5-a-side baseball, boxing, chess, jet skiing, futsal, golf, sepak takraw, sailing, table tennis, teqball, indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, sport climbing, and more.
