In 2025, Doai Phuong commune will not only focus on promoting socio -economic development but also effectively implement social welfare programs, fully demonstrating the strength and significance of national unity. Under the close leadership of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, especially the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, the flow of compassion has spread widely, achieving impressive results: 18 houses built or renovated under the "Great Unity" program, with a total cost of up to 1.18 billion VND. These sturdy homes are not only shelters from the rain and sun but also vivid evidence of the tradition of "loving others as oneself" of the people of Hanoi, creating a solid foundation for disadvantaged families to settle down and rise out of poverty sustainably.

Ms. Phung Thi Thanh, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Doai Phuong commune, shared that caring for the material and spiritual lives of the poor, especially providing housing support, has always been identified by the local Party committee and government as a key political task. The program to support the construction and repair of solidarity houses, implemented through the "For the Poor" Fund and other socialized resources, has yielded practical results. In 2025, the commune helped 4 families build new houses and 14 families repair and renovate their homes. Each donation is not only a material contribution but also a warm gesture of sharing and a motivation for people to overcome adversity.

The program's success is clearly demonstrated through the new homes and the joy and happiness felt by families who have finally found a place to live. One of the exemplary cases of families receiving support for new construction is that of Mr. Ngo Tang Thang's family in Tan Phuc village. His family is classified as near-poor, facing particularly difficult circumstances. Their old house was severely dilapidated and unsafe, especially during the rainy season. Building a decent home on their own was beyond their financial means.

On the morning of October 1st, 2025, joy arrived when the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Doai Phuong commune, in coordination with Khai Nguyen Pagoda, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a "Great Solidarity" house for Mr. Thang's family. The total direct financial support was 150 million VND. The project not only received financial support but also the contributions of relatives, neighbors, and various organizations in terms of labor and materials. This is a meaningful project, demonstrating the deep concern of the local government and religious organizations in caring for the lives of the people. The new house, with an area of approximately 91 square meters, was built and completed after two months of construction, providing Mr. Thang's family with a stable place to live, allowing them to focus on work and production.

In Thien Loc village, the newly built house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Chat's family is also a testament to the timely attention of the local government. During the construction of Ms. Chat's house, Mr. Tran Pham Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Doai Phuong commune, personally inspected the construction progress, and kindly visited and encouraged the family. The presence of the commune leader was not only to check the progress but also a great source of moral support, demonstrating the close attention and responsibility of the Party committee and government towards each social welfare project. Ms. Chat's "Great Solidarity" house was built according to standards, ensuring quality, contributing to creating motivation for her and her family to overcome difficulties and move towards a better life.

Besides building new houses, the commune of Đoài Phương also promptly and appropriately carried out house repairs. The case of Ms. Phùng Thị Tình in Đại Sơn village is a prime example. Ms. Tình received support for house repairs and renovations from a socialized fund. Her dilapidated house was repaired and upgraded, becoming more solid and safer. The Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune strictly monitored and supervised the repair work, ensuring that the support money was used effectively and for the intended purpose. The timely repairs helped Ms. Tình stabilize her mental state so she could focus on earning a living.

Eighteen new construction and renovation projects in 2025 have contributed to changing the face of Doai Phuong, adding sturdy and solid "homes," and firmly reinforcing the people's trust in the policies of the Party and the State.

Spreading the spirit of "mutual support and compassion"

Besides providing housing support, Doai Phuong commune places special emphasis on creating sustainable livelihoods and supporting job creation to help people escape poverty in a tangible way. Member organizations of the Fatherland Front in the commune have played an active role, especially the Women's Union and the Farmers' Association.

According to Le Thi Chinh, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Doai Phuong commune, the Union has effectively coordinated with the Social Policy Bank and the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (Agribank) to disburse preferential loans to members for investment in production and business development. This capital is considered an important "lever," helping many women have the opportunity to start businesses, expand production scale, improve family income, and thus become financially independent and build civilized and happy families.

Meanwhile, the commune's Farmers' Association also focused on organizing training sessions and transferring high-tech scientific and technical knowledge to its members and farmers for application in agricultural production; helping farmers access modern farming methods, improving productivity and the quality of agricultural products. In particular, the Association also strengthened activities to promote and introduce products, facilitate trade and consumption of agricultural products, and expand markets for local products.

Upholding the spirit of "Comradeship and Solidarity," the Veterans Association of the commune actively mobilizes its members to help each other develop the economy and achieve sustainable poverty reduction. Many production and business models run by veteran members have become exemplary, creating jobs and stable income for many local workers. The construction of "Comradeship and Solidarity" houses is also carried out concurrently, clearly demonstrating the qualities of Ho Chi Minh's soldiers in peacetime.

Also during the past year, several historic storms and floods caused severe damage to the people in some provinces in Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands. Cadres, Party members, and the people of Doai Phuong commune demonstrated a profound spirit of "mutual support and compassion," donating a total of 667.261 million VND to support those affected by the storms and floods. This money was personally handed over by the Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Doai Phuong commune, Phung Thi Thanh, to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, in order to promptly assist the people in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster and quickly stabilizing their lives.

Not only demonstrating a spirit of mutual support within the country, Doai Phuong commune also upholds the tradition of international solidarity, showing affection towards the people of friendly countries. Immediately after receiving the call from the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the people of Doai Phuong commune actively donated 336.433 million VND to the people of Cuba. This is a testament to the traditional friendship and the sense of international responsibility of the people of Doai Phuong.

In addition, other humanitarian activities were also actively implemented. A prime example is the Voluntary Blood Donation Day, with the participation of 250 officials, Party members, civil servants, union members, association members, armed forces personnel, and citizens. The organizers collected 263 units of safe blood, exceeding the target by over 300%. This is an outstanding result, affirming the sense of responsibility and solidarity of the people of Doai Phuong towards community health.

The success in social welfare and poverty reduction in Doai Phuong commune in 2025 is clear evidence of the effectiveness of implementing the Resolutions of the Party Congress at all levels, especially the role played by the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations.

These "homes filled with human kindness" are not just about providing material support, but also about strengthening faith and motivating each disadvantaged family to strive for a better life, stabilize their lives, and contribute to the overall development of the community.

The Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Doai Phuong commune, Phung Thi Thanh, further informed that in 2026, Doai Phuong aims to continue promoting the strength of the great national unity, expanding successful "People's Mobilization" models, focusing resources on ensuring social security, and building the commune into an increasingly prosperous, civilized, and modern place, worthy of being a shining example of social security in the heart of Hanoi - where every citizen feels the warmth and human kindness from the community, the local government, and various organizations and associations.
