The Bang Phuc area in Dong Phuc commune has suitable climatic and soil conditions for the development of the ancient Shan Tuyet tea variety, a rare genetic resource of the northern mountainous region.
Currently, the entire commune has over 316 hectares of Shan Tuyet tea, including 740 ancient Shan Tuyet tea trees, distributed across all 7 villages. Scientific investigations show that the Shan Tuyet tea population in Bang Phuc area, Dong Phuc commune, has outstanding biological value, historical formation, and potential for economic and tourism development.

On December 8, 2025, the Vietnam Association for Nature and Environment Protection issued Decision No. 298/QD-HMTg officially recognizing the cluster of 12 Shan Tuyet tea trees in Dong Phuc commune as Vietnamese heritage trees.
During the ceremony, representatives from the local government, residents, cooperatives, and businesses signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to connect and market Shan Tuyet tea products.
