Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that external information work plays an extremely important role and has strategic significance in the cause of national construction and defense; it is an important part of political and ideological work, and a regular, long-term task of the entire political system, linked to Party diplomacy, State diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy. In recent years, external information work has made significant contributions to outstanding results in the field of foreign affairs; it has been a catalyst for the impressive and comprehensive socio-economic development achievements of the country.

In the context of the country entering a new stage of development, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed that external information work must closely adhere to the country's development goals, the independent, self-reliant, peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and developmental foreign policy, and the multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations. Through this, Vietnam affirms itself as a nation that is "confident, self-reliant, self-sufficient, and strong"; innovative, creative, and cooperative with international friends; innovative in thinking and strategies for external information; promotes the application of science and technology; diversifies communication methods; and builds a professional, capable team that can effectively convey Vietnam's message to international friends.
At the same time, we will continue to improve coordination mechanisms to leverage the combined strength of ministries, sectors, and localities; between domestic and international media outlets; between the State and businesses and social organizations; and to form an effective ecosystem and network for external information dissemination.

"With the results achieved, I believe that the National Award for External Information will create more motivation and enthusiasm for those working in external information to dedicate their talents and passion, with a spirit of creativity and responsibility, to excellently fulfill the task of 'leading the way,' making even more practical and significant contributions to the cause of building a prosperous and happy country in the new era," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.

The Organizing Committee selected and awarded 8 first prizes, 16 second prizes, 24 third prizes, and 40 consolation prizes to outstanding works from nearly 2,500 entries. Among them, the five-part series "The Flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam on the Atop Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris" by the Saigon Liberation Newspaper, written by Nguyen Thi Kim Loan, Cao Do Van, Ho Nguyen Hoang Hung, and Tran Thuy Phuong Quyen, won the third prize.

The entries in this year's competition demonstrate the serious investment of professional and non-professional foreign affairs information teams both domestically and internationally; the professional quality has significantly improved, vividly reflecting the fields of politics, economics, culture, foreign affairs, human rights, international integration, and promoting the image of Vietnam and its people. Many works showcase innovative thinking, creative perspectives, and the ability to convey positive and inspiring messages about Vietnam during its period of strong development and deep integration.
