Meteorological experts say that Southern Vietnam, especially Ho Chi Minh City and the Eastern region, is entering a period of hot weather. On December 12th, temperatures in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai were around 33°C; on December 13th and 14th, they could rise to 35°C. Despite the hot days, nights and early mornings will remain cool at 25-27°C.

Meanwhile, on December 12th, Hanoi and Northern Vietnam will be cloudy and foggy due to the influence of a strong cold front; mountainous and midland areas of Northern Vietnam will experience showers, while the plains will have light rain. The highest temperature will be 21-24°C.

From December 13th, a cold front will begin to directly affect the Northeast region, then gradually spread to the North Central, Northwest, and Central regions. The North will experience cold weather; mountainous and hilly areas will experience severe cold from December 13th to 14th, with some high mountainous areas experiencing extreme cold, and the lowest temperatures could drop below 5°C. Hanoi and the plains will only have temperatures of 11-14°C. The North Central region will also experience cold weather from the night of December 13th.

Due to a strong cold front, the northern region and the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue City will experience moderate to heavy rain, with localized very heavy rain. From the night of December 13th to the end of the night of December 14th, the rain will spread to Quang Tri - Da Nang and the eastern parts of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa.
