Prepared duck is sold at stall 3, Cai Khe Shopping Center, Can Tho City.
(CT) - Currently, the price of duck meat in many localities in the Mekong Delta has decreased by 3,000-5,000 VND/kg compared to previous months. Grimaud super-meat ducks (raised in confinement, fed with industrial feed) are being sold by farmers to traders at 34,000-42,000 VND/kg, while free-range ducks are priced at 45,000-50,000 VND/kg in many areas. Muscovy ducks (live) are priced at 55,000 VND/kg in many places. Ready-to-eat domestic ducks are sold at retail in many markets at 80,000 VND/kg, and ready-to-eat Muscovy ducks at 90,000 VND/kg. The price decrease is due to increased supply, especially the large quantity of free-range ducks raised during the flood season, which are being sold because there are no more empty fields as farmers have begun planting the 2025-2026 winter-spring rice crop.
