Opening the gold medal tally on the third day of official competition for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation was the achievement of the duo Le Thi Mong Tuyen and Nguyen Tam Quang in the 10m mixed rifle team event in Shooting.

Shooting opened the scoring with a gold medal on the third day of official competition.
In the final match against their Thai opponents, the two Vietnamese athletes had a better start, leading 6-0 after 3 rounds. However, the home team's pair gradually regained their confidence to equalize. The two sides competed fiercely until the score reached 12-12 before the Thai athletes pulled ahead 14-12, moving closer to the championship.
However, Mong Tuyen and Tam Quang performed excellently, leveling the score at 14-14 and finishing with a 16-14 victory, thus securing the gold medal.
Following the good news from Shooting, Canoeing brought home the 16th gold medal in the women's 200m double canoe event. The pair Nguyen Thi Huong and Ma Thi Thuy performed impressively to finish first with a time of 43.419 seconds.

Fighter Bac Thi Khiem continues to assert her position.
Immediately after Canoeing, Taekwondo athlete Bac Thi Khiem continued to bring good news by winning a gold medal in the women's -73kg sparring category. Against her opponent from the Philippines, Bac Thi Khiem displayed superior form with speed, precision, and powerful strikes to secure a convincing 2-0 victory, bringing home her 17th gold medal and reaffirming the class of the athlete who previously won a historic gold medal at the 2024 Asian Taekwondo Championships.
Meanwhile, Karate also secured an important gold medal thanks to Khuat Hai Nam's overwhelming victory over his Thai opponent with a score of 6-1 in the men's 67kg kumite event.
On the track, one of Vietnam's strongest sports, young athlete Nguyen Thi Ngoc (born in 2002) excellently won the gold medal in the women's 400m event with a time of 52.74 seconds. In the swimming competition, athletes Nguyen Quang Thuan and Nguyen Huy Hoang continued to bring good news by winning two more gold medals in the men's 400m individual medley and 1500m freestyle events, respectively.
