The festival is an occasion for the people to express their gratitude, commemorate the contributions of the tutelary deity Hoang Can, pray for a peaceful new year, favorable weather, a bountiful harvest , and strengthen community solidarity.

The festival consists of two main parts: the solemn Ceremony and the lively Celebration , rich in ethnic identity: The procession of the village's tutelary deity's tablet around Ban Cau village, where Luc Na communal house is located, creates a vibrant procession of colorful traditional costumes of the Tay, Dao, and San Chi ethnic groups. The solemn ritual involves offering incense and reporting to the village's tutelary deity to pray for good fortune.
