Participating in the journey are war invalids, sick soldiers, people who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, and relatives of martyrs – those who have overcome difficulties, triumphed over their disabilities, and continuously strived in their studies, work, and production to stabilize their lives, making positive contributions to the community and society, serving as shining examples for the younger generation to follow.

The journey aims to honor and express gratitude for the immense sacrifices of those who contributed to the revolution in the struggle for national liberation, building and protecting the Fatherland. At the same time, it demonstrates the concern of Party committees, government agencies, the Fatherland Front, departments, branches, organizations, and the people of the city for the care of those who have contributed to the revolution.

Beginning their journey to the roots, the delegation of exemplary meritorious individuals from Ho Chi Minh City laid wreaths at Ho Chi Minh Square and observed a minute of silence to express their profound respect and boundless gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh - the national liberation hero, outstanding cultural figure, and brilliant leader of the Vietnamese nation.

* Earlier, the delegation offered incense at the Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Memorial House. There, the delegation laid flowers and incense, observed a moment of silence to remember and express gratitude for the immense contributions of Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai to the cause of national liberation.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, former Secretary of the Saigon-Chợ Lớn City Party Committee, was an outstanding daughter of Nghe An province and an excellent disciple of President Ho Chi Minh. In 1941, she was executed by the French colonialists at the Gieng Nuoc Hospital historical site (Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital).
The Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Memorial House is located in Quang Trung Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province. It is a cultural site commemorating and displaying images about the life and revolutionary career of the female communist fighter Nguyen Thi Minh Khai.

As part of the "Visiting Uncle Ho's Homeland" tour, the delegation will visit the Kim Lien Historical Site; pay respects at the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - the mother of President Ho Chi Minh; lay flowers and incense at the Truong Bon Historical Site; and lay flowers and incense at the Dong Loc Crossroads Historical Site.
