
The meeting between Comrade Trinh Van Quyet and Comrade Khamphan Pheuiyavong took place within the framework of the State visit and attendance at the 50th National Day Celebration of the Lao People's Democratic Republic by General Secretary To Lam and his wife.
According to VNA correspondent in Laos, at the meeting, Comrade Trinh Van Quyet expressed his joy when visiting Laos for the first time as Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission on the occasion when the country and people of Laos are joyfully celebrating the 50th anniversary of National Day; thanked Comrade Khamphan Pheuiyavong for taking the time to receive the delegation. He informed about the socio -economic situation in recent times; and said that recently, Vietnam's propaganda and mass mobilization work has had many positive and stronger changes through the application of digital transformation, innovation in propaganda methods, and increased dissemination of official information to cadres, party members and people.
In the jubilant atmosphere of the 50th Anniversary of Laos' National Day, Comrade Trinh Van Quyet sent his congratulations on the outstanding results achieved by the Central Propaganda Department of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party in implementing the Resolution of the 11th Congress and the 9th 5-year socio-economic development plan. He expressed his belief that the Lao People's Revolutionary Party will successfully organize the 12th Congress, creating a strong impetus to bring the country into a new stage of development. He affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and prioritizes propaganda work on the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos; at the same time, he will direct press and media agencies and propaganda systems to strengthen information and raise awareness of cadres, party members and people of the two countries, especially the younger generation, about the strategic value of this exemplary relationship.

On the Lao side, Comrade Khamphan Pheuiyavong congratulated Comrade Trinh Van Quyet on his new position and highly appreciated the significance of the visit by the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation. He emphasized that the visit contributed to strengthening the special relationship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of the two countries; at the same time, it created opportunities to promote extensive cooperation in the field of propaganda, and thanked the Party and State of Vietnam for supporting and helping Laos overcome difficulties in the past time.
On this occasion, Comrade Khamphan Pheuiyavong suggested that Vietnam continue to share its experience in disseminating the Party and State's guidelines and policies to the people. Laos hopes to continue receiving support from Vietnam in improving the capacity of its officials in mass media management, contributing to strengthening political and social stability and creating favorable conditions for the country's development goals.

The two sides also discussed in depth the need to increase information exchange, especially on theoretical and practical issues arising in the process of innovation, development and international integration of each country; at the same time, they identified major topical topics of mutual concern to the two Parties; and agreed that after the National Party Congresses of the two countries, they would develop a new cooperation plan, ensuring coverage of necessary areas and identifying priority focuses, thereby continuing to improve the quality of coordination.
In recent times, many outstanding propaganda activities have been jointly implemented by the two sides on the occasion of major holidays of the two countries, contributing to widely spreading the tradition of special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos on the media, especially on social networking platforms, helping to spread and enhance mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.
