The event, which took place over 4 days (from November 28 to December 1), was an important highlight in the chain of trade promotion activities, connecting Hanoi 's agricultural product consumption with localities across the country. This year's week brought together more than 1,300 safe agricultural products, regional specialties and typical OCOP products from 25 provinces and cities.
With more than 50 scientifically and diversely arranged booths, the event introduces a rich range of products from agriculture, forestry, fishery, processed products, high-tech products to specialties with export potential.

The week is open from 9am to 10pm every day, and is expected to attract thousands of visitors to visit, experience and shop. Many direct interactive activities, such as product testing, experiencing new preservation and processing technologies, etc., are being implemented to create real connections between businesses, cooperatives and distribution systems and consumption units in Hanoi.
In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment Ta Van Tuong emphasized that Hanoi is one of the two largest economic centers in the country, with a large market for goods consumption, and a modern and synchronous trade and service network. However, Hanoi's agricultural production only meets 20% to 70% of consumption demand, depending on each product group for more than 10 million people living and working in the area. The shortage is supplemented through the supply chain from provinces, cities and imports.

To ensure a stable, safe source of goods and transparent information to consumers, in recent times, the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment has implemented many solutions to strengthen production - consumption connections, promote the application of traceability technology, and develop safe supply chains between Hanoi and other localities. On that basis, Hanoi and 43 provinces and cities before the merger (currently 26 provinces and cities) have formed 1,388 safe food production - supply chains, providing large quantities of agricultural, forestry and fishery products to the capital.
Notably, from 2021 up to now, Hanoi has coordinated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and localities to sign the "Coordination Program on ensuring food safety, improving the quality of agriculture, forestry, fisheries and trade for the period 2021-2025".

The program aims to bring regional products to Hanoi for consumption and from Hanoi to the national market, aiming for export with consistent requirements of safety standards, transparency, and clear traceability of origin.
The 2025 Annual Week is a practical activity to continue to concretize cooperation contents. The event not only creates opportunities for businesses and cooperatives to promote their brands and consume products, but is also a forum for localities to exchange experiences in organizing production, linking chains, improving product quality and value. Many consulting programs and direct connections between businesses and distribution systems, supermarkets, and processing and export sectors will also be held throughout the week.

Mr. Ta Van Tuong affirmed that the organization of the week in Kim Lien ward contributes to promoting trade, creating a new vitality for agricultural production and rural economy, while strengthening the connection "Hanoi for the whole country, the whole country for Hanoi".
The Department of Agriculture and Environment hopes to continue receiving close coordination from ministries, branches, localities, and the business community to sustainably develop agricultural, forestry, and fishery supply chains to serve the capital's residents and tourists.
