Phu Xuyen opens "Craft Village Honoring Festival and Craft Village Culture

In his opening speech, Chairman of Phu Xuyen Commune People's Committee Bui Cong Than emphasized that Phu Xuyen has long been known as the cradle of famous carpentry and fine art villages, such as: Van Diem, Chanh Thon, An Dinh, Phuc Trach; Tran Phu fishing line craft village, Van Lang fishing net weaving village...

Products from the craftsmen's hands not only crystallize traditional cultural values, but also reach out to many international markets, contributing to spreading the image of "Quintessence of Vietnamese crafts".

This is also the first large-scale event held locally, to implement the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Phu Xuyen Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030 and the city's craft village development plan.

Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune Bui Cong Than affirmed that the festival is an opportunity for businesses, cooperatives, and production households to promote and market their products; strengthen the connection between supply and demand; expand trade within and outside the locality, thereby promoting production and socio-economic development. At the same time, the event contributes to honoring the tradition of diligence and creativity of Phu Xuyen workers, affirming the position of Phu Xuyen commune on the cultural and tourism map of the capital.

This year's festival is held from November 27 to 30 with many diverse activities, space to display craft village products, OCOP products; promote regional specialties; demonstrate skills; cultural and artistic exchanges; introduce craft village tours combined with spiritual tourism.

At the festival, there were 130 booths of organizations, businesses, and OCOP entities in Hanoi and neighboring provinces and cities. Phu Xuyen displayed 40 booths of craft villages in the commune and its sister communes.

The highlight of the festival is the craft village tour with the route: Van Diem Stadium - Phu Dong Thien Vuong Temple - Moc Phuc Trach - Moc An Dinh - Tran Phu fishing line - Van Lang fishing line - Moc Chanh Thon..., helping visitors experience traditional crafts, learn about local culture and connect for trade cooperation.

The event not only contributes to the development of craft village tourism associated with digital transformation and e-commerce, but also creates a premise for Phu Xuyen commune to move towards forming a sustainable model of "Each village has a space to display and introduce products", enhancing the value and brand of craft village products in the integration period.
