The Fatherland Front and various organizations, associations, and people in the commune have successfully implemented sustainable poverty eradication and built "united homes" based on the merger of five former communes: Minh Khai, Duong Lieu, Cat Que, Yen So, and Dac So.

A solid foundation built on national unity.
With the motto "Unity, discipline, quality improvement, timely adaptation for a civilized capital and happy people," the Fatherland Front of Duong Hoa commune not only excellently fulfills its political propaganda nhiệm vụ, but also affirms its role as a political alliance and voluntary association in implementing social welfare work.
The strength of national unity was consolidated by the Fatherland Front of the commune through the successful organization of the National Unity Day in all 46 villages, coinciding with the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's traditional day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025). These activities not only strengthened community bonds but also provided an opportunity for people to exercise democracy and contribute ideas to building a cultural life in their residential areas.

In Duong Hoa commune, poverty alleviation and ensuring social security are always the top priorities of the Fatherland Front of Duong Hoa commune.
In 2025, the movement to support the "For the Poor" Fund and the Relief Fund to help people overcome damage caused by storms and floods received strong support from officials and people in the commune. The total amount of money raised for the "For the Poor" Fund and the Relief Fund in 2025 reached over 1.277 billion VND. From this fund, the Fatherland Front of the commune promptly transferred 25 million VND to the City's "For the Poor" Fund and 500 million VND to the City's Relief Fund...
In particular, relief efforts for people in Central and Central Highlands regions were also implemented quickly. Cadres, Party members, and the people of the commune joined forces, demonstrating the tradition of mutual support and sharing difficulties, contributing over 600 million VND to support people in flood-affected areas.

Transparency and efficiency in the use of funds are key to maintaining trust and motivation among donors. The funds are used directly to support disadvantaged households in building and repairing houses, providing seeds and capital for production development, as well as for impromptu gift-giving activities during holidays, Tet (Lunar New Year), and the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day.
Sustainable poverty eradication efforts in Duong Hoa district are not limited to providing cash assistance but also focus on creating conditions for people to have stable housing and means of livelihood. Many particularly difficult cases have received attention and support from the Fatherland Front of the commune and its member organizations, helping them overcome adversity.
According to the report, the Fatherland Front of the commune has coordinated support for disadvantaged households to build and repair houses, stabilize their lives, and create motivation for families to improve their lives. In addition, programs supporting seeds and capital for production development have also been implemented synchronously. For example, Mr. Tran Van Lap in Hoa Lieu village, a disadvantaged household whose house was severely dilapidated, affecting his daily life and health, received 60 million VND in support from the Fund for the Poor to repair and upgrade his house, giving him more motivation to work and produce to improve his life.

Notably, the Fatherland Front Committee of Duong Hoa commune also demonstrated responsiveness in handling emergencies. In 2025, the commune provided emergency assistance to one particularly disadvantaged case with an amount of up to 111 million VND. This was timely support with profound humanitarian significance. According to Nguyen Van Thuan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duong Hoa commune: Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, residing in Diem Xang village, suffered from a serious illness requiring significant treatment costs, and his family was unable to afford them. Upon receiving this information, the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of Duong Hoa commune quickly assessed the situation and decided to allocate 111 million VND from the special relief fund to help the family cover medical expenses and overcome this most difficult period.
In addition, the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune also coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city to present gifts worth 40 million VND to 8 particularly disadvantaged households on the occasion of National Day on September 2nd; presented gifts to 92 disadvantaged families on the occasion of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Traditional Day; and donated 200 gifts to disadvantaged students at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year... Ms. Pham Thi Thu from Minh Khai village said that her family received a gift worth 5 million VND from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, which is a valuable source of encouragement to help her family continue to strive in life.
Organizations join forces to create sustainable livelihoods.
The success of sustainable poverty eradication in Duong Hoa owes a great deal to the contributions of four core socio-political organizations. These organizations have proactively used their capital to support their members in developing their economy and creating sustainable livelihoods.
According to Phung Ba Tan, Chairman of the Veterans Association of Duong Hoa commune, the Association maintains the "Exemplary Veteran" movement and activities demonstrating camaraderie and mutual support. In particular, the Association has mobilized members to contribute to the association's fund, totaling over 3.66 billion VND. More importantly, the Association is supporting 815 members in obtaining loans from the Social Policy Bank with a total amount of 51.03 billion VND. This preferential capital serves as a leverage to help veterans develop their economy and legitimately prosper in their homeland.
Meanwhile, the commune's Farmers' Association focused on providing technical and financial support for production. During the year, the Association organized three training courses on crop and livestock care and one training course on pomelo tree care, helping members improve productivity and product quality. The Association also effectively managed the Farmers' Support Fund, totaling 6.459 billion VND, providing loans to 149 members. Furthermore, it managed 30 loan groups from the Policy Bank with a total of 66.44 billion VND, providing loans to 1,027 households for investment in production and business development, job creation, and income increase.

Similarly, the Women's Union of the commune, with 8,216 members, is also effectively maintaining the movements: "Supporting women's entrepreneurship" and "Supporting poor and near-poor women." The Union has mobilized 515 million VND for the Fund to support poor women and vulnerable children, assisting 81 members. The Union has also effectively implemented loan and disbursement activities from the Social Policy Bank and Credit Funds with a total outstanding loan balance of 670 million VND, creating conditions for 1,397 female members to borrow capital. Particularly noteworthy is the "Supporting the raising of plastic pigs" model, which has resulted in savings of 23.95 million VND, contributing to fostering a sense of saving and financial independence in households.
Ms. Le Thi Mai from Quan Gia village said: "Thanks to the support from the Farmers' Association and the Women's Association of the commune, my family received a preferential loan of 50 million VND to invest in a small-scale farm model, combining livestock farming and crop cultivation, helping to increase income and gradually escape from being a near-poor household."
The sustainable poverty eradication efforts of the Fatherland Front in Duong Hoa commune are closely integrated with other emulation movements, most notably the "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" campaign and the "Maintaining bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe villages" movement. By 2025, 97% of households in the commune registered to achieve the title of "Cultural Family," and all 46 villages achieved the title of "Cultural Village" (100%). This demonstrates comprehensive development in economy, culture, and society, providing a solid foundation for more sustainable poverty eradication efforts.
With the achievements made, especially in social welfare, relief, and poverty eradication, the Fatherland Front Committee of Duong Hoa commune has affirmed its role as a center of unity, a solid bridge between the Party, the government, and the people, contributing to building a developed, civilized, and happy Duong Hoa commune, in line with the spirit of "Creative Unity" and towards a sustainable future.
Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duong Hoa commune, Nguyen Van Thuan, further informed: In 2026, the Fatherland Front of the commune aims to continue strengthening its core political role, gathering and promoting the strength of the great national unity, focusing on effectively implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". In addition, the Fatherland Front of the commune will continue to improve the effectiveness of its social supervision and criticism activities, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, ensuring that all social welfare policies are implemented transparently and reach the right beneficiaries.
