The year 2025 marks a significant transformation in Dien Bien's tourism sector, from management and market promotion to improving the quality of tourism products. These results are creating great expectations for the 2026-2030 development period, when tourism is oriented to become a key economic sector of the locality.

In 2025, Dien Bien province is projected to welcome and serve 1.45 million tourists, including approximately 14,000 international visitors, generating total revenue of 2,400 billion VND. The average length of stay is expected to be 3 days, with an occupancy rate of around 45%. The province has 251 accommodation establishments, 8 recognized tourist destinations, and 5 operating travel agencies.

Many major events such as the Hoa Ban Festival, the art program "Beautiful Landscape - A Glorious Strip", the Northwest - Dien Bien Quintessence Festival, and the art program and fireworks display on September 2nd continue to attract attention, contributing to promoting the image and fostering tourism linkages in the region.
