Launching the National Action Month on Population

QNgTV - On the morning of December 12th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Lan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province, attended the launching ceremony of the National Action Month on Population and Vietnam Population Day (December 26th) with the theme: "Investing in population work is investing in sustainable development".

Population and development work is a strategic task, closely linked to the stability and sustainable development of the locality. In recent years, Quang Ngai province has maintained the replacement fertility rate and gradually shifted its population policy towards "Population and Development" in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 21 of the Central Committee. This has created a solid foundation for effectively achieving socio -economic development goals in the new period.

At the launching ceremony, Quang Ngai province called on all levels, sectors, localities, and people to continue upholding a sense of responsibility; to promote propaganda and raise awareness about population work in the new situation. Focus on effectively implementing key tasks, including: thoroughly understanding and effectively implementing Resolution No. 21 of the Central Committee; maintaining a stable replacement fertility rate; minimizing gender imbalance at birth; improving the overall quality of the population; strengthening inter-sectoral coordination to ensure that population work is implemented synchronously and sustainably.

Following the launching ceremony, many activities were implemented to spread the significance of the National Action Month on Population and Vietnam Population Day on December 26th.
