According to information from the Import-Export Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade , in recent years, the scale of goods exports has continuously expanded and increased, making a significant contribution to socio-economic development, enhancing Vietnam's position and influence on the international stage. Statistics show that in the first 11 months of 2025, the total import-export turnover of the whole country reached US$839.8 billion, of which exports reached US$430.2 billion, an increase of 16.1% compared to the same period.
Alongside positive results, Vietnam's exports still face many difficulties and challenges, and there are still many limitations that need to be overcome. On the international stage, increasing trade protectionism, increasingly stringent requirements for "greening" supply chains, and a slow recovery of the global economy remain major pressures on businesses.
In the coming years, the Party and State aim for double-digit growth. As one of the driving forces contributing to economic growth in recent times, exports require breakthrough and strong solutions to maintain high and sustainable growth in the future.
In this context, the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has been tasked with organizing a seminar entitled "Solutions for High and Sustainable Export Growth" to gather proposals, recommendations, and feedback from experts, associations, and businesses. The aim is to propose practical, immediately implementable solutions to maintain high and sustainable export growth in 2026 and subsequent years. The seminar will take place at 8:00 AM on December 16, 2025 (Tuesday) at the Bao Son Hotel, 50 Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, Hanoi .
The seminar was attended by representatives from various ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade; the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; the Ministry of Finance; the Ministry of Construction; the Ministry of Science and Technology; the State Bank of Vietnam, along with industry associations, export businesses, economic experts, and scientists.
The seminar is expected to focus on an in-depth analysis of the import and export situation in recent times, especially new trends in sustainability standards shaping international trade and directly impacting Vietnamese businesses. Delegates will also discuss the need to increase the domestic value added in export products, improve market responsiveness, expand growth potential through FTAs, and address bottlenecks in institutions, logistics, and business competitiveness.
With the participation of numerous regulatory agencies, experts, and the business community, the Ministry of Industry and Trade expects the seminar to provide relevant policy recommendations, propose feasible solutions, and contribute to creating an important foundation for Vietnam's exports to maintain steady growth in 2026 and beyond.
Those interested can register as delegates before 10:00 AM on December 15, 2025 at: https://tinyurl.com/XNK2025
