The Pa Tan Commune Boarding School project, comprising primary and secondary levels, is invested in by the Lai Chau Provincial Police Department and commenced construction on August 26, 2025, with the participation of leaders from the Ministry of Public Security and Lai Chau provincial leaders. This project is one of the key projects, classified as Group B, designed with modern and integrated facilities, meeting Level 2 infrastructure standards. The school will have approximately 30 classrooms, accommodating around 1,000 students, aiming to create a better learning environment for children of ethnic minority communities.
During the inspection, the construction unit reported on the project's progress and affirmed that, to date, they have increased machinery and equipment and focused manpower to accelerate the project's progress, ensuring it is completed according to the plan assigned by the Central Government.
On the part of Pa Tan commune, the commune leaders reported to the working group on coordinating efforts to resolve difficulties and obstacles, and creating all conditions for the construction unit to ensure progress. In particular, the commune has intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to create consensus among the people. The people in the commune, especially around the project area, are all excited and hope for the project to be completed quickly so that they can have a new, spacious school, creating a modern learning environment for their children.
After inspecting and listening to reports, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the proactive efforts of the local government, the investor, the contractor, and the construction unit in bringing the project into its accelerated construction phase. Affirming that the Pa Tan Commune Inter-level Primary and Secondary Boarding School is progressing very well according to schedule, he expressed confidence in the efforts, overtime work, and concentrated use of machinery by the construction unit to ensure the project's progress. He also requested that the local government and relevant agencies continue to closely coordinate with the construction unit, creating the best conditions for the project to be completed on schedule and with quality.
Regarding the contractor's requests, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee instructed the provincial specialized agencies to coordinate with local authorities to promptly resolve and provide support.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the delegation presented gifts to encourage the workers currently working on the construction site.
