The Prime Minister acknowledged the willpower, courage, and determination of both teams, and encouraged coaches Mai Duc Chung and Kim Sang Sik to prepare well for the semi-final match.
This is a huge source of moral support for the players and coaching staff on their journey to achieve the highest goal in the tournament.
To promptly boost the morale of the teams, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation decided to award 700 million VND to the Vietnam women's national team and 600 million VND to the Vietnam U22 national team.
President of the Vietnam Football Federation, Tran Quoc Tuan, was present in Thailand and personally attended the women's team's match, as both Vietnamese national football teams played at the same time.
Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan said: "It's truly joyful and gratifying that both teams have successfully achieved their goals from the group stage. With their efforts to overcome difficulties and pressure, both teams have secured victories in crucial matches. The fact that both teams led 2-0 in the first half and topped the group is a very important factor for the subsequent calculations in the semi-final match."
However, with very important matches ahead, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan noted that the Vietnamese football teams need to continue to focus on preparation and perform well in order to gradually realize their goals.
