Earlier, at around 9 PM on December 11th, local residents discovered flames and smoke rising from the third floor of Tam Anh restaurant, a busy eatery located near the Van Trung Industrial Zone.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Department of Bac Ninh province promptly dispatched three fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to coordinate with local forces to extinguish the fire.
Authorities quickly implemented a firefighting plan and prevented the fire from spreading to the first and second floors of the restaurant.
Around 10 PM that same day, the fire was extinguished, and it did not spread to the first and second floors.
Restaurant staff stated that upon discovering the fire on the third floor, they were unable to access the area to extinguish it due to the building's foam ceiling collapsing, creating an obstruction and posing a danger. Immediately, all customers and staff present in the restaurant managed to evacuate safely. At the time of the fire, there were no customers seated on the third floor.
Initial reports indicate that the fire primarily damaged the third floor, burning items such as foam ceilings, signage, curtains, tables, and chairs. The third floor of the restaurant also had dining tables for customers, but there were no customers sitting there when the fire broke out.
Authorities are currently sealing off the scene and investigating the cause and extent of the damage from the fire.
