
At approximately 1:15 PM on December 10th, a sudden fire broke out at 168 Lo Duc Street (Hai Ba Trung Ward, Hanoi ), causing panic among residents.
Authorities arrived quickly and brought the fire under control.
Witnesses at the scene said they heard a loud explosion before flames erupted fiercely in the rows of street-front kiosks, with many people rushing to escape.
According to the Hai Ba Trung Ward Police, the three kiosks that caught fire sold various goods, and some of the property had been moved out with the help of local residents.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Hai Ba Trung Ward Police, in coordination with Firefighting Team No. 9, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police, dispatched 4 specialized vehicles to the scene, cordoned off the area to carry out firefighting, rescue operations, and traffic control. After about 7 minutes, the fire was completely extinguished.
Initial reports indicate that the fire caused no casualties, and property damage is currently being assessed by the authorities.
Present at the scene, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Ba Trung Ward Nguyen Manh Hung said that the local authorities had visited and supported the people in overcoming the consequences.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the authorities.
