Mai Ngo brings designs inspired by Queen Nam Phuong to Miss Charm

On December 8th, runner-up Mai Ngo, representing Vietnam, participated in the Miss Charm 2025 competition. (Miss International Beauty) - officially unveils its national costume named "Golden Flower Emblem" .

Arousing national pride through costumes

This design by designer Nguyen Quoc Viet (Cat Co) was inspired by Queen Nam Phuong - a woman symbolizing virtue, kindness and noble beauty.

According to the designer, this spirit is incorporated into the Nhat Binh ao dai, which has the dignified silhouette of royal attire. However, the design is creatively modern while still maintaining traditional standards, showcasing a harmonious blend.

The highlight of the Golden Seal design is the blend of the golden color of the Hue royal court and the architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty, recreating the language of nobility and luxury through contemporary fashion .

The Golden Seal design is seen as a declaration of Vietnamese heritage entering the international stage, confident, brilliant and full of national pride.

Over the past few days, Mai Ngo has been scoring points in her journey to conquer the crown. She has introduced to international friends interesting things about Vietnam from beautiful landscapes, food to cultural beauty, demonstrating the hospitality of the people.

National costumes of Vietnamese representatives two seasons ago

Previously, Vietnam's representative attracted attention with the national costume of the Ban Flower Dance by MC Quynh Nga (Miss Charm 2024) and the national costume of the Rice Paper by MC Thanh Thanh Huyen (Miss Charm 2023) .

The costume for the Ban Flower Dance, designed by Le Long Dung and Than Nguyen An Kha, was inspired by the Ban flower, a typical flower of the Northwestern mountains and forests, symbolizing purity and innocence.

The Ban Flower Dance combines traditional beauty with creativity through the traditional dress silhouette and long collar. and a skirt embroidered with traditional brocade patterns.

The highlight is the yellow petal pattern on the brocade fabric, creating a youthful, optimistic feeling of the Northwestern girls like flowers blooming in the middle of the forest.

The " Banh Trang" national costume won second prize in the Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 National Costume Design Contest. by designer Phan Xuan Giau.

Rice paper is inspired by the image of a rustic, simple dish, a familiar dish to Vietnamese people.

The wings are made from opaque white sheer chiffon combined with the fabric patchwork method, creating the characteristic pattern of rice paper. The jumpsuit is meticulously made, with beads and sequins attached to make the outfit more impressive. The fringe on the skirt creates a soft, graceful look.
