According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, as of December 10th, the entire city had completed planting over 29,000 hectares of winter crops, reaching the target 20 days ahead of schedule.
This includes over 22,000 hectares of vegetables with a diverse crop structure, focusing on high -economic- value crops such as: onions and garlic (over 7,000 hectares); leafy vegetables (nearly 7,000 hectares); cabbage, kohlrabi, and cauliflower (over 5,000 hectares); carrots (1,200 hectares); potatoes (1,100 hectares); and tomatoes (nearly 800 hectares)...

Currently, winter vegetable crops are growing and developing well. Many areas planted early, especially leafy vegetables such as cabbage, kohlrabi, cauliflower, tomatoes, beans, and cucumbers, have already been harvested. Vegetable products are selling very well, with prices 20-40% higher than the same period last year, encouraging farmers to invest in expanding production.
Currently, vegetable prices continue to remain high, and demand is forecast to increase sharply during the Lunar New Year of 2026. The Department of Agriculture and Environment recommends that farmers in localities expand the area planted with winter crops, striving to increase the total area by an additional 5% compared to the plan.
