Comrade Tran Anh Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council, presided over the conference.
In 2025, the province's OCOP program will continue to expand in both scale and quality. The products participating in this year's evaluation are diverse in type, demonstrating the great efforts of the participants in standardizing processes, building brands, ensuring traceability, and meeting market demands.
This round involved 39 products participating in the evaluation and ranking; of which: 21 products received initial recognition, 13 products received re-recognition, and 5 products were proposed for upgrade in star rating.
At the conference, representatives of OCOP product owners reported, presented, and analyzed in detail the quality and design indicators of their products participating in the initial evaluation and ranking, as well as the re-evaluation and upgrading process as required by the Council.

The subject presenting and introducing the product.
After listening to the reports and explanations from the participating entities, the Council members discussed and provided feedback to further clarify information about the products, such as quality, processing methods, consumer markets, and raw material sources. They also proceeded with the initial scoring and ranking of OCOP products; and re-evaluated, recognized, and upgraded OCOP products.
As a result, the Council analyzed, scored, ranked, and re-recognized 39 provincial-level OCOP products for 2025. Specifically, 22 out of 22 products achieved 3-star OCOP status; 12 out of 13 products achieved 4-star status, while the Kim Cuc tea product, which had already achieved 4-star status (re-recognized), was not considered for approval this time due to the need for further documentation. Based on the agreement that 4 out of 4 potential products could achieve 5-star OCOP status, the provincial-level Council will continue to submit them to the Central-level Council for evaluation and classification of OCOP products for 2025 for review and recognition.
Following the provincial merger, Ninh Binh province now has 980 products that have achieved OCOP 3-star rating or higher, accounting for nearly 6% of the total number of OCOP products nationwide. After 7 years of implementation, the OCOP program has truly become a driving force for rural economic development, opening up a sustainable path for cooperatives, businesses, and producers to exploit potential and affirm the traditional values of the locality.
