Pacific Group expands investment research in Thai Nguyen.

Within the framework of the cooperation and investment promotion program, on the afternoon of December 11th, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, received and worked with Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa, founder of the Pacific Construction Group (China), Chairman of the Trang Nghiem Research Institute, who led a delegation representing the Group to visit and work with Thai Nguyen province.

Expressing his pleasure at welcoming the delegation back to Thai Nguyen after their working visit with the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in August, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong assessed this as a positive sign, demonstrating the interest and trust of Pacific Construction Group in Thai Nguyen's investment environment.

Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong provided an overview of the socio-economic development situation after the province's merger with Bac Kan , emphasizing that Thai Nguyen is facing a great opportunity for breakthroughs, with attracting high-quality investment being a key task. The province is committed to maintaining a transparent and open investment environment and creating maximum favorable conditions for international businesses, including Chinese investors.

Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa expressed his appreciation and confidence in the leadership role of the Provincial Party Secretary in the new development phase of Thai Nguyen. He stated that, with its global scale and experience in infrastructure construction, the Group wishes to expand cooperation in a substantive and long-term manner; not just limited to individual projects but aiming for large-scale strategic projects aligned with the province's development orientation. The Group emphasizes the spirit of cooperation, "first as friends, then as partners," valuing mutual trust and understanding.

Emphasizing Thai Nguyen's potential in minerals, steel, and construction materials, Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa suggested that these are areas where the two sides can effectively cooperate in investment. Furthermore, its geographical proximity to the Chinese border facilitates the formation of a broader investment ecosystem as the Group implements projects in Vietnam. The Group's representative also shared its investment orientation of approximately $10 billion USD in Vietnam from 2026 onwards, with Thai Nguyen being one of the priority locations for research due to its development advantages and stable political foundation.

During the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong highly appreciated the capabilities and experience of Chinese enterprises in large-scale infrastructure construction, especially highways, railways, and bridges – areas that Thai Nguyen province is prioritizing for breakthroughs. The province identifies transportation infrastructure, industrial infrastructure, and logistics as key drivers of this term; and considers the public-private partnership (PPP) model as an effective approach.

The Provincial Party Secretary provided further information on several major orientations, such as researching investment in infrastructure connecting the Tam Dao mountain range with Phu Tho province via bridges or road tunnels; strengthening regional linkages with Bac Ninh, Tuyen Quang, and Cao Bang provinces; and promoting investment in expressways to enhance the province's position and attractiveness to FDI. The province assigned the Department of Construction as the focal point for regular communication with the Group, and expressed its hope that the Group would not only research investment but also participate in advising the province on key projects.

In a spirit of openness and goodwill, both sides agreed to continue expanding cooperation, leveraging each other's strengths in a way that harmonizes interests, contributing to the socio-economic development of Thai Nguyen and strengthening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China. The meeting also affirmed their shared determination to realize strategic cooperation opportunities in the future.
