Ready for the art show 'Mountain Flowers'

Now in its fifth year, the "Mountain Flowers" art program – showcasing and honoring the representative works of artists from Thai Nguyen – has become an annual event eagerly awaited by art lovers throughout the province. Currently, rehearsals for the program are underway to deliver a high-quality artistic "feast" to the audience.

In recent days, the artists and crew of the "Mountain Flowers" art program have had almost no days off. Some are practicing dance, others are mixing music, and still others are adjusting the movements down to the smallest detail to ensure everything is perfected before "Mountain Flowers" returns to the audience.

As the performance day approaches, the atmosphere of rehearsals intensifies, with everyone wanting to deliver a perfect, polished performance worthy of the affection the public has shown for "Hoa Nui" (Mountain Flowers) over the past time. Hoang Thuy Linh, an actress from the Thai Nguyen Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe, shared: "Despite being quite busy at the end of the year, everyone is actively practicing to bring the audience impressive artistic performances."

A new feature of this year's "Mountain Flowers" program is that instead of selecting and combining individual performances, it is built into an overall script with the theme "Flowers of the Four Seasons," developed and directed by Meritorious Artist Hoang Thien Thuc. The program features the participation of many groups, individuals, and art units such as: the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Thai Nguyen branch; the Thai Nguyen Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe; the Viet Bac College of Culture and Arts; and the Little Flowers Art Center…

The art program will concretize the inspiration of Thai Nguyen, nestled in the heart of Viet Bac, a region brimming with vibrant identity, a land rich in tradition, and strongly rising in the new era. Especially this year, Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen are "under one roof," creating an artistic reunion, a convergence of traditional and modern elements.

Meritorious Artist Hoang Thien Thuc, Head of the Dance and Theater Department at Viet Bac College of Culture and Arts, said: "The 'Mountain Flowers' journey in 2025 is a very special milestone. The script will have new highlights waiting for the audience to experience. With a structure based on the four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—'Mountain Flowers' 2025 will take the audience on an emotionally rich journey, recreating the beauty of nature, culture, and people through music , dance, and visual arts."

Musician Quan Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Ethnic Arts Troupe of Thai Nguyen Province, added: "The Ethnic Arts Troupe of Thai Nguyen Province will bring the most selected and high-quality performances to the 'Mountain Flowers' program. We have coordinated very well with the program's general director to live up to the expectations of art-loving audiences."

The "Mountain Flower" art program in 2025 is scheduled to take place at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre, 118 Hoang Van Thu Street, on the evening of December 12th.

The performance was created through the hard work and dedication of veteran artists such as composer Hứa Quang Đại, Meritorious Artist Hoàng Thiện Thực, music directors Quan Anh Tuấn and Việt Dũng, along with choreographer and stage director Mai Thanh, under the content direction of poet Nguyễn Thúy Quỳnh, President of the Thái Nguyên Provincial Association of Literature and Arts. This combination promises to bring audiences an emotionally rich and unforgettable artistic experience. It will be a fresh and creative version of the cultural identity of the Việt Bắc region, embodying a bright, youthful, and vibrant spirit, encouraging solidarity, integration, and development in Thái Nguyên's new phase of growth.
