Donated 210 million VND to support people in overcoming the consequences of floods and heavy rains.

On December 10th, at the People's Committee of Phuong Tien commune, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Provincial Post Office, organized the distribution of financial assistance to households participating in the project "Urgent Call for Response, Recovery and Reconstruction after Typhoon No. 3 and its aftermath in 2024, Phase 2".

The project is funded by a grant from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

People receive financial assistance.

During this period, 70 households affected by Typhoon No. 3 (Typhoon Yagi ) and its aftermath in 2024 received cash assistance to restore their livelihoods. Each household received 3 million VND, totaling 210 million VND.

This support contributes to helping people overcome difficulties after the natural disaster as soon as possible, and also demonstrates the solidarity of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Red Cross and international organizations with the affected households.

It is known that Phase 2 of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Association's project has a total budget of over 23 billion VND, implemented in 6 provinces: Bac Ninh (formerly Bac Giang ), Cao Bang, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, and Thai Nguyen, with the goal of supporting approximately 35,000 people. Support activities focus on livelihood restoration, healthcare, first aid, provision of clean water and sanitation, disaster risk reduction, and enhancing community response capacity.
