Based on the latest search data from Booking.com, the list of destinations most popular with Vietnamese tourists during the 2026 New Year holiday has been revealed. Domestic travel continues to be the top choice for the majority of Vietnamese travelers when planning their year-end holiday. Specifically, 69% of Vietnamese travelers chose domestic travel, with 42% of respondents saying they preferred familiar places and 37% valuing the convenience of choosing destinations that require less travel time.

These factors help explain why familiar destinations remain the top choice for many people's year-end holiday plans. Phu Quoc leads the list of most searched domestic destinations by Vietnamese tourists during the year-end holiday, recording an 86% increase compared to the same period last year.

Following closely behind are Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi , vibrant cities with numerous special events and celebratory activities. Meanwhile, the top 10 most searched international destinations for Vietnamese tourists during the year-end holiday season are: Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Chiang Mai, and Paris.
