Based on the latest search data from Booking.com, the list of destinations that Vietnamese tourists are most interested in during the 2026 New Year holiday has been revealed. Domestic travel continues to be the top choice when planning a year-end holiday for the majority of domestic tourists. Of which, 69% of Vietnamese tourists choose domestic travel, of which 42% of survey participants said they like to go to familiar places and 37% appreciate the convenience of choosing a destination that takes less travel time.

These factors help explain why familiar destinations are always the top choice in many people’s year-end holiday plans. Phu Quoc leads the list of domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists during the year-end holidays, recording an increase of 86% compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, the top 10 most searched domestic destinations by Vietnamese tourists from December 20, 2025 to January 4, 2026 are: Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang , Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Mui Ne, Hoi An, and Sa Pa.

Meanwhile, the Top 10 international destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists during the year-end holidays include: Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Chiang Mai and Paris.
