At the Huamark Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, against the less-fancied Myanmar team, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet decided not to field his strongest lineup. The head coach of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team gave young outside hitter Anh Thao a chance to start, alongside Kim Thanh, Luu Thi Hue, and Nguyen Thi Uyen.
The Vietnamese girls demonstrated their class by completely dominating their opponents. They consistently maintained a large lead and finished the first set with a score of 25-9 in less than 15 minutes. The second set also provided opportunities for young talents, with Như Anh getting a chance to play. The appearance of Vi Thị Như Quỳnh further strengthened the Vietnamese team, and they easily won the second set with a score of 25-10.

The third set showcased the talents of the young players, with Nhu Anh consistently scoring points. Setter Lam Oanh also continuously distributed the ball to the middle blockers, giving them a chance to regain their match fitness. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's players established a large lead right from the start. The Vietnamese girls quickly finished the third set with a score of 25-6, easily securing a 3-0 victory against Myanmar.
Following this swift victory, the Vietnamese team temporarily moved to the top of the bảng, level on points with Indonesia but ahead on goal difference. This win was predicted beforehand and was not entirely unexpected. The opportunity for the young players to compete boosted their confidence and served as a rehearsal for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team's attacking strategies. On December 11th, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face Malaysia at 12:30 PM.
