Coach Luu Van Hoan said that the duo Nguyen Thi Huong and Diep Thi Huong lived up to expectations from the qualifying round, leading and being considered the strongest contenders in the women's 500m double canoeing event. Their success is the result of serious preparation and great effort in training. "This victory is very important for the whole team, creating more motivation for us to continue to perform better in the coming days," Coach Hoan shared.
Immediately after winning the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games, team leader Nguyen Hong Minh was present at the competition venue to present a "on-the-spot" reward of 10 million VND to the two athletes Nguyen Thi Huong and Diep Thi Huong.
