Da Nang announces a series of events to attract tourists in 2026.

This information was released at a press conference announcing the Danang New Year Festival 2026, organized by the Danang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the afternoon of December 9th.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , from the beginning of 2026 to the end of August 2026, Da Nang will simultaneously revamp its beach tourism landscape with a series of check-in models stretching along the city's major beaches.

The New Year's Eve 2026 festival will take place over 5 days (December 30, 2025 - January 3, 2026) with many diverse cultural and entertainment activities.

The New Year 2026 check-in model series (December 20, 2025 - January 3, 2026) features four check-in spaces: a dazzling Christmas space with a 20m tall Christmas tree, a New Year's melody space, a Hoi An-themed space, and a Da Nang-themed golden space.

A new feature of this year's festival is the city's organization of the "Da Nang - Welcoming the New Year 2026" Boulevard, taking place over three nights (December 30, 2025 - January 1, 2026) on Bach Dang pedestrian street (Hai Chau ward).

The boulevard space is recreated as a "creative festival axis," where sound, light, and art blend to create a vibrant atmosphere to welcome the new year, allowing visitors to freely explore and experience.

The festival also includes the "Lighting Up the Han River - Running Towards the Future" race, which will take place from 10 PM to midnight on December 31, 2025.

According to Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, the Da Nang New Year 2026 Festival is an annual city-level cultural, sports, and tourism event.

“The festival is expected to bring joyful moments, emotionally rich experiences, and be an unmissable destination for tourists,” the Vice Chairman of the City shared, emphasizing, “The series of events will be a special highlight, spreading a warm atmosphere during the transition from the old year to the new year.”

This will contribute to enhancing the visitor experience, diversifying tourism products, and stimulating demand to attract tourists to Da Nang. At the same time, it will create momentum for the city's tourism industry to continue its strong breakthroughs, further affirming Da Nang's position as a leading festival destination in the region in 2026.”

According to city statistics, the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments in November 2025 is estimated at over 1.1 million, including 606,000 international guests. Cumulatively for the first 11 months of 2025, accommodation establishments in the city have served approximately 16.5 million guests, an increase of 18.9% compared to the same period in 2024; international guests alone reached 7 million.

Experts offer suggestions to help Da Nang shape a new tourism strategy. Experts believe that Da Nang needs a new development strategy based on creativity, regional linkages, and strong exploitation of the night-time economy and MICE tourism.
