The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee worked with Thuan Chau commune on the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses and disbursing public investment funds.

On December 10th, Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, worked with Thuan Chau commune on the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and the disbursement of funds from the national target program.

Through a review, in 2025, Thuan Chau commune has 67 households eligible for housing support. Of these, 66 houses need support for new construction and 1 house for repair, with a total support budget of nearly 4 billion VND. In November 2025, Thuan Chau commune continued its review, identifying 132 temporary houses, dilapidated houses, and houses in need of repair or new construction with a total budget of over 7.9 billion VND.

Leaders of Thuan Chau commune People's Committee reported on the progress of reviewing and supporting the elimination of temporary housing and the disbursement of funds from national target programs.

For the national target program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, the total allocated capital for 2025 is over 11.4 billion VND, and to date, Thuan Chau commune has disbursed over 59%. In 2026, the total allocated capital is over 580.7 billion VND. The commune has reviewed the needs for construction and repair of transportation and irrigation works in the area to ensure timely disbursement and adherence to the schedule.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee delivered a speech at the working session.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Dang Ngoc Hau requested Thuan Chau commune to continue reviewing temporary and dilapidated houses in need of support; to focus on disbursing public investment capital and national target program funds, and to prepare payment and settlement documents for projects. In addition, he requested the continued implementation of scoring criteria for defining ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2026-2030 period according to Government Decree 272. He also requested the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions to research and develop software for managing and statistically analyzing data on the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for effective management and implementation.
