In the creative team event, the Vietnamese Taekwondo team competed with the following athletes: Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Tram Dang Khoa, Tran Ho Duy, Le Tran Kim Uyen, Nguyen Phan Khanh Han, and Nguyen Thi Y Binh.

In the final of this event, Vietnamese Taekwondo athletes competed against Thailand, Myanmar, and the Philippines. The teams were ranked based on points.
In this competition, the athletes from Myanmar competed first, scoring 7,060 points, followed by the Philippines, who scored 7,580 points.
The Vietnamese athletes scored 8,060 points in the third round. At this point, the team had secured the silver medal, temporarily ranking ahead of Myanmar and the Philippines, and were only waiting for the host country Thailand's turn.

As a result, the home team's athletes only scored 7,940 points, thus the gold medal in this event went to the Vietnamese athletes.
Thus, after narrowly missing out on the gold medal in the mixed doubles standard poomsae event with Nguyen Trong Phuc and Nguyen Thi Kim Ha, Vietnamese Taekwondo finally won its first gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games.
This is also the second gold medal for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games, after Canoeing.

Along with the gold medal in the creative team event, on the afternoon of December 10th, Vietnamese Taekwondo also won a bronze medal in the women's standard team event (Nguyen Thi Kim Ha/ Le Tran Kim Uyen/ Le Ngoc Han).
Thus, Vietnamese Taekwondo has won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal in today's competition on December 10th.
