As one of the first establishments in Da Nang to light up its Christmas tree in late November, Hoiana Resort & Golf (Duy Nghia commune) donated 500 million VND to the "Opening the Way to the Future" program initiated and maintained by VinaCapital Foundation.

This fund was raised through the “Hoiana Charity Golf Day 2025,” held at Hoiana Shores Golf Club in mid-November. All profits from golf activities, food , and support from the golfing community and businesses provided opportunities for many underprivileged female students to continue their education.

According to Alan Teo, CEO of Hoiana, alongside tourism and festival activities, social responsibility is always a top priority for Hoiana. In addition, a new feature this Christmas season is the Christmas tree decorated with bamboo, coconut leaves, and recycled materials, showcasing a spirit of sustainable creativity.

Meanwhile, at Vinwonders Nam Hoi An (Thang An commune), the entertainment complex held a meaningful Christmas tree lighting ceremony, sponsoring nearly 200 amusement park tickets and 200 lunch meals for students at Hope School - a special school in Da Nang for children orphaned by Covid-19.

Ngoc Han (a student from Hy Vong School) shared: “This is the second Christmas season that my friends and I have experienced at VinWonders Nam Hoi An. I wish the amusement park continued growth and that it will attract more domestic and international tourists, thereby generating more resources to share with the community.”

Similarly, during the Christmas tree lighting ceremony recently held at Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills (Ba Na Hills commune), the hotel welcomed children from the SOS Children's Village Danang to experience exciting activities and enjoy a buffet at the hotel.

Expanding across the city, several other tourist establishments, through various means, have also made the Christmas tree lighting ceremony meaningful and complete.

Specifically, Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort (Hoi An Tay ward) has allocated 70 million VND, directly donated by tourists and partners at the "Green Christmas - Lighting Ceremony 2025" event, to support the program assisting people affected by storms and floods.

Meanwhile, Bellerive Hoi An Resort & Spa (Hoi An Dong ward) organized a handmade charity market as part of its Christmas tree lighting ceremony. All profits from the market were donated to underprivileged children in mountainous areas of Da Nang through the "Warm Clothes for Children" program.

In recent years, the activity of lighting up Christmas trees to activate products and services for tourists during the Christmas and New Year season has gradually become an annual event at major tourist destinations and accommodation establishments in Da Nang city.

Besides contributing to stimulating tourism, this activity is increasingly taking on a humanitarian element as destinations integrate meaningful charitable programs for disadvantaged communities, contributing to spreading the sustainable values that the tourism industry aims for.
